My mother used to say to me, ‘You can’t eat beauty, it doesn’t feed you.’ And these words played and bothered me, I didn’t really understand them until finally I realized that beauty was not a thing that I could acquire or consume. It was something that I just had to be. And what my mother meant by saying that you can’t eat beauty is that you can’t rely on beauty to sustain you. What actually sustains us, what is fundamentally beautiful is compassion for yourself and those around you. That kind of beauty inflames the heart and enchants the soul.

You are the books you read, the films you watch, the music you listen to, the people you meet, the dreams you have, and the conversations you engage in. You are what you take from these. You are the sound of the ocean, breath of the fresh air, the brightest light and the darkest corner. You are a collective of every experience you have had in your life. You are every single second of every day. So drown yourself in a sea of knowledge and existence. Let the words run through your veins and the colours fill your mind until there is nothing left to do but explode.

Never regret thy fall,
O Icarus of the fearless flight
For the greatest tragedy of them all
Is never to feel the burning light.

"You never changed. You’re still the same person I know since."

…saying these words with a smile in a friend’s face is what I want hear and see after 5-10 years, or even more. I hope I’ll be the same. The crazy one, the dumbfounded girl, the corny friend, etc. But is already mature enough to handle her own problems and wise enough to solve them.

Being sexy is not about your smokey eye make-up or vivid lipstick color or fitted/mini dress or high heels or long curly hair;

It’s about how you bring attitude to whatever clothes you have on; it’s about the confidence.

Naisip ko lang

Perhaps, a quote I should always remember.

It is in knowing that comes loving. You cannot love a person that you don’t know.
Fr. Ziggy
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
Philippians 2:3-4
It’s just that I don’t want to be somebody’s crush. If somebody likes me, I want them to like the real me, not what they think I am. And I don’t want them to carry it around inside. I want them to show me, so I can feel it too.

Spend your time thinking paano ka magbabago. Hindi para magustuhan ka ng iba, kungdi para magustuhan mo yung sarili mo.
